FED HIRING fed pays more
Obama’s happy unemployment remains at 9.7%
Who’s hiring? Who pays the better salaries? – The US government
I’m sure the White House was relived that unemployment did not rise. Republicans blamed Obama economic policies for the still-high jobless rate. House Republican Whip Eric Cantor said potential employers are also worried about Obama’s proposed health care plan.
“Today’s jobs report is the latest warning that the threat of oppressive regulations and health care mandates from Washington, as well as skyrocketing deficits and tax increases, are actively preventing job creation,” Cantor said. He could also add that small businesses are struggling to hang on and remain in business. And that these are often the businesses that pull the US out of past recessions. More taxes are not the solution for anyone….and yet that’s where congress spends its efforts looking at HOW to RAISE taxes.
While most businesses have cut employees, the federal government is HIRING! According to a new USA Today report that analyzed the US Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs and salaries that compared Federal Workers and the private sector. The results showed the typical federal worker is paid 20% more than a private-sector worker in the same occupation.
Median annual salary for the Federal workers is $66,591 compared to the comparable private sector job paying $55,500 – that’s $11,091 PER YEAR higher if you work for the US government. Another surprising conclusion this report showed was when it looked at the average federal salaries and found that federal job salaries exceeded the average private-sector pay in 83% of comparable occupations. Robin Ryan’s JOB SEARCH TIP:
The largest US employer is the Federal government. And where most State governments are NOT hiring and laying off people, the federal government IS HIRING and the salaries are high paying. This makes the US government a great place to find your next position. The application process is often cumbersome but persevere since many people won’t put the added effort in to apply. Federal Jobs are available all across the nation, so refocus your job search to looking at the federal job openings.
